Things to do in Hurghada!

There are many things you can do during your stay in the lovely city of Hurghada! Since this is a touristic city, it has plenty of things to offer to those who visit it. In this blog post I will go over some ideas on what to do around town for maximum enjoyment.

Walking :

Walking is probably the healthiest way to explore the city, and your efforts won’t go to waste! This city has some incredible sights to behold that are well worth each step.

Explore the hypnotizing views of the ocean Hurghada overlooks, and enjoy the sunset’s golden rays of light painting the already beautiful town and the azure water sparkling with seagulls flying overhead.

Enjoying the sea-breeze as you’re casually strolling and sipping on your drink can almost feel like a spiritual experience, where you can connect with nature and calm your soul as you let it do its thing.

You can also find some places like restaurants and sites that are worth seeing! I will be going into detail about them further down the blog post.

Restaurants :

Hurghada also has some premium dining experiences to offer, there are many restaurants around all serving unique and tasty meals. You can find many places that have a unique atmosphere and theme about them.

The sheer variety and amount of restaurants around town means that you can go dining multiple times during your stay, with each spot offering its own unique experience, and sporting a special look that ensures that each place feels new.

One of the best places to look for some restaurants is the Marina, where you can find everything from Chinese to Mexican restaurants, there is also a pub if you ever get thirsty.

The Mina Mosque :

After you’ve visited The Marina and enjoyed the gorgeous view of the yachts and boats floating on the waters of the Red Sea, you can go visit the gigantic and hulking Mina Mosque that has been looming over in the horizon the whole time.

It is the biggest mosque in the Red Sea, and its size does not mean that it falls short when it comes to small and intricate details.

You can enter the mosque and feast your eyes upon the awe inspiring Islamic architecture, a real display of expert craftsmanship. Visiting the mosque is definitely a must if you are interested in Islamic culture, or if you just want to see big buildings.

Shopping :

Shopping in Hurghada is an excellent choice for those who want to buy souvenirs or just general wants and needs. You can check out two of our major malls in the city that have almost everything you could ever want in them.

The carrefour and Senzo malls are two massive malls with all kinds of services, like :

  • Bazaars
  • Arcades
  • Restaurants
  • Gift shops
  • Tech shops
  • Cinemas
  • And clothing stores

There are also many shops and bazaars littered all over the city, so if you’re looking for something you are guaranteed to find it. Akhnaton is the biggest bazaar in Hurghada (and best one in my opinion), it has everything from small trinkets and gifts to real gold and silver jewelry for sale!

Explore the ocean :

Since Hurghada is a coastal city, it would make sense that exploring its waters would be one of the most popular activities that would be done by locals and visitors alike.

You can lounge at a beach and bask in the golden sun of Egypt as you feel the wind blow through your hair. A perfect vacation setting!

You can also book a sea trip to really get a hands on experience with the aquatic world of the Red Sea. Where you can go intro diving, snorkeling, or just exploring the wonders of the underwater world in the comfort of your chair on an air conditioned semi-submarine through its glass panels.

Though sailing on a boat or a yacht before swimming along with the exotic fish is a perfect choice for those who want to make the most of their stay in Hurghada!

And of course you can rest easy when it comes to your safety, after all we take these things very seriously and absolutely will not allow any harm to come your way, you’re our guest after all!

When you are out on a trip, professionals will be there at all times ensuring your safety. If you are going intro diving, it is important to follow their every step as diving is a lot more dangerous than people think! There are a lot of rules to keep in mind, but you don’t have to! Before you dive, the instructor will give you a brief explanation of how to handle being underwater, the rest is on them! They will be guiding you through the water and showing you around.

It is also worth noting that touching corals or taking anything with you is strictly prohibited. After all, why ruin such a pretty sight for others?

Conclusion :

So that was a list of some things to do around town, and I hope this was an informative read! If you are interested in booking sea trips or a city tour, we have those available here on our website. Check it out, maybe you’ll find something that suits you!
